New for the repossession and bank foreclosures.
There is a new lock that the repo teams use to secure the bank owned properties. It looks like a Kwikset Tylo, but it's different inside. A plug puller might work, but the case is diecast material, and might be broken off. Here's how to pull the cylinder: with a marker, make a mark at the top of the keyway on the housing, just outside the cylinder as a reference point. Now pick the lock to the open position, open the door, remove the lock from the door, remove the spindle, then pick the lock to the 180 degree position. Then you can pull the cylinder out.
You will see two locking tabs connected by a long spring. They go into two offset slots on the plug to allow the cylinder to be pulled.
Rekey as usual, insert the cylinder at the 180 degree position, rotate to the lock position, then replace the spindle.
The spindle limits the cylinder to 90 degrees.
